Black Mesa (formerly Black Mesa: Source) is a Half-Life 2 total conversion remaking of Valve Software's award-winning PC game, Half-Life.
Utilizing the Source engine, Black Mesa will reintroduce the player as Doctor Gordon Freeman, along with the original cast of memorable characters and environments seen in Half-Life. Black Mesa was built and founded on the basis that Half-Life: Source didn't fully live up to the potential of a Source engine port of Half-Life. As such, Black Mesa was founded to fully reconstruct the Half-Life universe utilizing Source to its fullest potential in terms of art detail, level sizes and code features. It should be noted that the project is being built from the ground up and is not a simple port of Half Life maps and models into the Source Engine. The idea is to remake the storyline used in Half Life into a new polished Source Engine version with new models, maps, soundtrack, voice acting and textures.


The Black Mesa Project

Black Mesa was started by fans with the goal of remaking the original Half-Life game on the Source engine. The project began in 2004 after it became apparent that Half-Life: Source was not a complete remake but rather an enhanced port of the original game on the Source engine.
The team that survives today has been working on the project relentlessly for several years and are determined to see it through to completion.

The Black Mesa Trailer was made by James McVinnie -- the producer of the Teaser -- after two weeks of production, and released to the public on November 30, 2008. Tools used in the production: Fraps, Adobe After Effects CS3, Sony Vegas Pro 8, Source SDK and Source DemoSmoother . The background music - "Black Mesa Trailer 2 Music" - was produced by Joel Nielsen with a mix of "new music track and a bunch of the ingame sound effects to give everyone a bit of a taste of what it will be like" .
Although the trailer states that Black Mesa will be released in "2009," this was proven to be inaccurate . This date was originally a sef-imposed goal that the team set in late 2008, but due to many individual life aspects of the team members and the Black Mesa development over the course of 2009, it became obvious that they couldn't finish the mod within the date . Since then, the team changed the goal to a "when it's done" approach, and decided to add more features that previously would not have been included by lack of time

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus is a video game of the top-down beat 'em up genre released in 2004 by Konami. The GBA version is more of a Side-scrolling Platformer/Shoot'em up action game. The game is a sequel to the previous year's TMNT game and is based on the 2003 TV series. The game offers cell-shaded graphics, four-player option and has the classic arcade game of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as an unlockable. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are playable from the beginning, while Karai, Slashuur, Splinter, and Casey Jones can be unlocked.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Battle Nexus is a video game based mostly on the second season of the 2003 animated TMNT series. It features levels based on the episodes: Search for Splinter (Parts 1 and 2), Turtles in Space (Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5), Secret Origins (Parts 1, 2 and 3), The Ultimate Ninja, What a Croc!, Return to Underground, City at War (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and Rogue in the House (Parts 1 and 2). The game also has 4 tournaments consisting of waves of enemy attacks. The fourth, Battle Nexus Tournament, is based on the four part episode The Big Brawl.

Unlike the 2003 TMNT game, Battle Nexus supports up to four players. Each player may select a "team" that consists of a turtle and an unlockable character that can replace the turtle. Four teams are present in the game, if less than four players are playing, one player may select more teams and cycle through them in the game.

Each team has their own specific abilities that can help players progress through the game. Blue Team can attack while dashing, and cut through certain obstacles (gates, trees, bamboo, etc.). Red Team can lift and push certain heavy objects. Orange team can reflect arrows with their guard (and Michelangelo can fly with his nunchucks). Purple team can utilize computer consoles (and Donatello can fire a laser instead of throwing shuriken). Unlike the previous game, players share one health bar so if one player gets hurt, the health decreases for all off them. Characters have "weak" and "strong" attacks and they do different moves with different combinations. To beat the level, you must either get to the designated point of the level, kill all enemies, kill the boss, survive until the time runs out or do the specific goal until the time runs out. Side goals are to collect artifacts that are usually in hidden or hard-to-reach places and to collect crystal pieces that increase your attack, defense, charge attack and shuriken throwing ("flying") abilities.
